Accomplished Executives Susan Marvin and Rodger Riney Bring Exceptional Leadership to MMRF
Norwalk, Conn., March 27, 2017 – The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) today announced two appointments to its Board of Directors. The appointees, Susan Marvin and Rodger Riney, will work with MMRF Board Members and Executive Leadership to advance the organization’s mission to speed new treatments and to find a cure for multiple myeloma through its unique, end-to-end precision medicine model.
“We are privileged that these two incredibly successful executives will bring their strong business backgrounds as well as a deep commitment to our mission as new Members of the MMRF Board of Directors,” said Paul Giusti, President and CEO of the MMRF. “They will both make important contributions during this transformative time in cancer research, where science, technology, and business are converging to create unprecedented opportunities to accelerate cures.”
Susan Marvin has been with Marvin Windows and Doors for over 35 years, most recently serving as President. She is a third-generation Marvin family member operating the company, currently serving as Vice Chair of the Marvin Companies and a member of the company’s Executive Steering Committee. Additionally, she is active in both profit and nonprofit boards including the Harvard University Joint Center for Housing Studies Policy Advisory Board Executive Committee.
Rodger Riney started Scottrade over 35 years ago, with the mission to improve lives by removing barriers to financial success. Scottrade has evolved into an online brokerage and bank supporting its three million clients through 500 branch offices nationwide. In the fall of 2016, Scottrade reached a definitive agreement to be acquired by TD Ameritrade. Rodger is currently on the Board of the Saint Louis Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, the Governing Board of the Concordance Academy of Leadership and the Civic Board of the Salvation Army – Midland Division.
