The Boston Marathon is the world's oldest and most prestigious marathon, and indeed for many runners "the one" they have to run in their lifetime. Boston is the only marathon (besides the US Olympic Trials) that runners have to qualify for (by running a certain fast qualifying time at another marathon). This makes a place on the starting line very special indeed.

The 26.2 miles from the narrow neighborhood streets of Hopkinton to the sky scrapers of downtown Boston are flanked with thousands of fans who make witnessing the marathon an annual party on this Massachusetts holiday, Patriots' Day.

The MMRF is proud to be able to offer entries to the 2012 Boston Marathon. Beginning September 12, the MMRF will begin accepting applications after which we will begin the process to select our team for 2012. Runners who demonstrate an interest in meeting or exceeding the fundraising commitment and those who are either connected to a myeloma patient or who work in the medical or research field related to myeloma will receive priority.
